Day 1 - Thursday, July 3
The plane ride to get here was long. Very long. But not nearly as bad as Neil or I expected it to be. The only thing that did suck about the flight was that I’d fall asleep and think that I slept off several only to find that 3 hours passed rather than 8. *lol* However, if you’re like Neil, you’d dose off for 15 minutes. Oh well. We both made it. In one piece. And without driving each other nuts on the way. Ha!
So we arrived in Sydney early in the morning and of course our flight was the only one there. It didn’t take too long to find our bags and by the time Neil had his bike we were on our way to start our adventure.
We got to the hostel, but we couldn’t check into our rooms so we left our bags in the storage room and took a walk around the city. And what a nice city it is. In a day I already liked it better than Toronto. Fred, you definitely need to check out Sydney someday, if possible. :) Anyway, after we checked in, we got settled into the room and walked around the city some more and had dinner at an Italian restaurant not too far from where we were staying.
I should add that when we landed this day it was sunny and cool. The next couple of days changed. :|
